WordPress Theme deLight 1.2
Nicht zuletzt wegen des großen Erfolgs meines WordPress Themes deLight, das bisher fast 20.000 mal heruntergeladen wurde, habe ich nochmal ein paar Verbesserungen an dem Theme vorgenommen. Dabei habe ich auch einige Vorschläge von Euch im Theme umgesetzt.
- Das ganze Layout ist nun zentriert, da dies massenkompatibler ist.
- Den float:left von den Images im Content-Bereich habe ich weggenommen. Probleme mit Smileys.
- CSS und XHTML ein wenig aufgeräumt. War ja vorher nicht unsauber ; – )
- Dropdown-Menü hinzugefügt.
Es hat eine feste Breite, 2 Spalten und die Sidebar ist auf der rechten Seite. Die Sidebar besteht aus netten Boxen mit runden Ecken und kann ebenso dynamisch mit Widgets genutzt werden. Das deLight WordPress-Theme ist CSS- und XHTML-valide und wurde erfolgreich auf allen gängigen Browsern getestet.

Hi there ,
you make beautiful desings but the drop-down navbar has issues with IE , although it works perfectly fine with Firefox.
I tried deFusion and deMar , dropdown menu shows next page’s content
Hope you can fix this issue and i ll be able to use these gorgeous WP Themes.

Actually I was fixing the same issue in the deFusion theme. I’ll upload the fixed version of deFusion in about half an hour.
deLight has the same problem. I’ll fix that on monday.

Love your designs! In deLight, I have been trying to change the burgandy colored background color, in the top header table, because I inserted my own photo, but I can’t find it. Could you please tell me what file the header color is in and what the entry says? I have been looking everywhere! Thanks!

The background color of the header is actually an x-repeated background image of the body.
Open the file /img/bg-body.gif and change it to your needs.

Well when I start to add widgets, (yes I have the latest wordpress and theme) it breaks the tags on the side bar consequently breaking the page.

Thanks for great theme. One remark, `sub page` dorpdown menu at the top menu bar, is showing at wrong position in IE7 (v 7.0.5730.13)

Hi! This is a very nice theme, and I’m using it for productvision.org.
Did you create the big RSS button yourself? If so, could you share the source illustrator/photoshop files? I need to make a variant of this icon and it’s difficult to reproduce the icon directly.

No, I did not create the buttons myself. But you can find plenty of the on the web. I thing I got those from bittbox.
If you want to find more just search for ‘glassy rss icons’ or ‘glass style rss icons’.

I added the sub menu in the latest version of the theme.

At the moment the deLight theme only supports one-level sub menus. To add a multi-level I recommend a Superfish menu.

I’m using the Delight theme and it is a wonderful one indeed.
But one bug I noticed was it was not calling wp_footer() in footer.php. Many plugins utilise this to add some javascript snippets after the tag. So you might neeed to modify it. For example I noticed this issue with the Google Analytics plugins for Wordpress
And also if possible could you add a horizontal list of categories below the navigation bar. That would be a nice feature if present in this theme

I have my current blog set up to display a static page as the default landing page and another page as my blog. For some reason, this theme causes my default static page as well as my blog page to display my blog entries and does not display the content of my default static page. Any ideas on how to fix this? Never had this problem before…

Übersehe ich irgendwo etwas oder zeigt es die Uhrzeit des Posts nicht mit an? (wp 2.6.3. und deLight 1.2.2) Ist zwar nicht horrend wichtig, wär aber ganz fein. Aber vllt bin ich einfach nur blind?

Super Theme! Mir “fehlt” nur noch eines: wie kann man sich den Ersteller des jeweiligen Artikels in der Zeile mit dem Datum, sprich neben dem Wort “Kommentare”, anzeigen lassen? So wie bei Dir “von_webdemar”? Habe leider von php usw. null Ahnung…Danke!

What exactly do you want to change?
The dark red background is a x-repeated background image (/wp-content/themes/delight/img/bg-body.gif). Open style.css in the theme folder and find the background attribute of the body.
To just change the floral illustration (/wp-content/themes/delight/img/bg-header.gif) find the background for header.

Looks great!
I altered the stylesheet to meet my existing page but I can’t find out how to chance the background colour of the dropdown menu. Maybe I’m just blind.

There is an extra stylesheet for the menu. You’ll find the styles in nav.css.

I just made the blog, and I want to use the delight theme. So I download it, unzip, and upload in the ftp.
And when I then go to my thems in the wp-admin, it shows the standard theems, and it says, that the theme i tryed to upload, didnt have a stylesheet. And I cant find in the undzips file???
I have uploaded this theem whit no problem on Hotness.dk – so I dont know why it is tricky now
)

The zip is complete. Checked it right now! Maybe there was a problem with your upload (interruption or something). You should delete the theme folder on the server and try to upload again

ich benutzt das webDelight und frag mich, in welcher Datei ich die links in der sidebar ändern kann, da das widget nicht manipulierbar ist.
2.frage:
wie ist das mit den rss-feeds… wenn ich das abonniert hab und ich nochmals auf den button geh (im deLight) kommt eine meldung, dass der header bereits versendet sei…

Dieses Problem liegt nicht am Blog. Die fehlerhafte Datei liegt im Ordner /html/vai/ und der Blog in /html/vai_blog/. Dennoch lässt die Meldung darauf schließen, dass in der Datei /html/vai/vai_log_noentry.php in der ersten Zeile ein Leerzeichen ist. Wichtig ist, dass vor der Eröffnung von
< ?phpkein anderes Zeichen oder Leerzeichen ist.2. Februar 2009

Nimm mal bei den Widgets nicht das Standard-Such-Widget (Search) sondern deLight Search. Das habe ich dem Theme angepasst. Damit sollte es passen.

was ist den deine Meinung zu WordPress als Intranetlösung in kleinen bis mittelgroßen Unternehmungen. Ist ja schon ein ziemlich taugliches CMS und die Entwicklung von Wordpress ist ja sehr progressiv. sofern ich das als Neuling beurteilen kann.
Die Suchfunktion ist auch gegeben und Archive bilden sich auch. Wo ich mir grad noch unsicher bin, ist die Datenbanksicherung, vorallem wenn das ganze anwächst (wuchert)

ersteinmal vielen Dank für Deine wunderbaren Themes.
Ich setze bei mir eine leicht modifizierte Version von delight ein.
Allerdings würde ich gerne weitere Unterebenen in der Navigation haben. Lässt sich das Navi-Menü um weitere Ebenen erweitern?
Wenn ja, wie? (Für die manuelle Einbindung eines Suckerfish-Menüs bin ich leider zu unbegabt …)

Eine einfachere Lösung wüsste ich jetzt nicht. Vielleicht hast Du es schon entdeckt, es gibt auch ein Plugin für WordPress-Suckerfish. Das habe ich selbst allerdings nicht getestet. Kann also keine Garantie geben.

Für die Standardansicht (wenn der User auf Deine Seite kommt) ist das nicht zu realisieren. Du könntest Deinen Blog in einem extra Fenster öffnen. Hierfür müsstest Du Dich mal mit der Javascript-Funktion window.open beschäftigen. Generell wäre ich aber mit dem Eingriff in das User-Interface Deiner Blogbesucher vorsichtig. Viele mögen das nicht besonders (dazu gehöre auch ich)
