Search Engine Optimization for WordPress

Search Engine Optimization for WordPress

I love WordPress! I love WordPress as a blogger, theme developer and web designer for the simplicity and complexity at the same time, for the clean code that is generated and the WordPress community. And not last and not least I love WordPress for its search engine optimization.

WordPress, straight out of the box, comes ready to embrace search engines. [WordPress Codex]

WordPress comes with several ready built-in seo tools such as pretty URLs called permalinks and pinging to name only a few. But there is a lot more you can do to optimize your WordPress blog or your WordPress CMS site for search engines.

You find a lot of interesting information about Search Engine Optimization for WordPress on the WordPress Codex.

In the WordPress Plugin Directory there are a lot of third party plugins to help you to make your WordPress installation search engine friendly.

A few months ago Nathan Rice started his post series called Ultimate Guide to WordPress SEO where you find awesome articles on how to optimize you WordPress themes for search engines.

I landed on the page after searching wordpress SEO but your theme pass me a shock, a surprising shock. Now I can see the difference between a free and premium theme. I don’t know how much you have spent on this but it is something extraordinary.

But I just realized that THIS site has it too! But you can still read the poster’s name because of the dark background.

This is how the 70% of people who use IE see your site:

Can’t someone post a detailed explanation of how to fix this?
